Who is sunny boy?
Tucked away on Gurners Lane in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, Sunny Boy Café is the realisation of a long-term dream for first-time café owners, Dane Cooper and Nicole Johnston.
Since opening our doors in 2013, we have prided ourselves on serving only the finest quality espresso coffee (or liquid sunshine as we liked to call it), with Melbourne’s own Red Star Lot 8-72 our blend of choice and fresh milk from St David’s Dairy in Fitzroy delivered daily.
Our talented kitchen team whip up mouthwatering, home-style food for breakfast, lunch and special events, using only the best, locally-sourced produce we can get our oven-mitts on. Everything we make is done on-site and with lots of love.
Whether you want to indulge in a bacon and egg brioche or grab a green smoothie to-go, our breakfast menu caters to every taste and we always open early for you to get your morning fix! Lunch times are never dull at Sunny Boy, with sandwich favourites including our panko-crumbed chicken schnitzel with coleslaw and the Reuben with house-made corned beef, plus an ever-changing sumptuous salad selection – and much more. But we don’t stop at gourmet savoury food! Our kitchen team also bake a rotating selection of cakes, slices and other sweet treats guaranteed to tantalise the taste buds and kick that cheeky craving.
From corporate events to intimate private functions, our kitchen team do their best to cater to your specific needs. We are fully licensed (we can deliver alcohol to your event!) and we even do venue hire – so if you need a function space too, we’ve got you covered.
